Structural steel robotic welding Automation
Our System was specifically developed for the structural steel industry to automatically batch process an entire building to create completely tailor-made robot programs for each unique beam. It will:
AUTOMATICALLY :
√ Position the beams in the rotators;
√ Read the weld information from CAD or auto-generate welds as per your specifications
√ Generate welding paths
√ Associate welds with the correct weld schedule
√ Generate the joint laser finding paths
√ Generate weld-to-weld movements
√ Generate the torch maintenance routines
√ Sequence welds to prevent heat distortion
√ Rotate beams to access all faces
√ Convert lengthy, longitudinal welds into stitches and more!
Structural steel robotic welding automation
To enhance the production efficiency of welded H-shaped steel, it has become an inevitable trend to organize production through an automated production line. Consequently, our company has introduced an automatic welding solution for H-shaped steel, thereby realizing the potential of automation in the industry.
This technology employs a Tracer P1 camera to capture high-precision 3D images of the weld and generate 3D point cloud representations. Subsequently, the TracerStudio software platform is utilized to analyze the 3D point cloud data, identify the precise position of the weld on actual workpieces, and provide relevant parameters (such as solder joint location and type) to guide robots in completing welding tasks.
This approach significantly reduces robot teaching programming workload while enabling automated mass production without requiring programming for different structure products or batches.
The entire photo recognition process takes only 0.5 seconds, resulting in substantial time and cost savings compared to previous manual operation cycles lasting eight hours; now robots can operate continuously for 24 hours without interruption, thus considerably reducing labor costs.
Moreover, with a working distance range of 250~500mm and repeatability within ±1mm, Tracer P1 camera exhibits excellent compatibility with ±15mm weld position requirements which further diminishes limitations imposed by prior process demands on automated welding equipment while empowering customers with better control over production costs.
Simultaneously benefiting from improved precision positioning and refined operational capabilities facilitated by H-beam steel's Automatic welding technology have led to remarkable advancements in terms of welding quality and consistency.
